Let us introduce ourselves
Nandi Tea Estates was incorporated in 1947 and has a total of 1,047 hectares of mature Tea. Fuel, Timber plantation and indigenous forest cover an area of 373 Hectares while buildings, open spaces & roads/ravines and other wetlands occupy 208 Hectares. All these spread in three divisions.
The factory has a processing capacity of 6,000,000 kg of CTC tea per year, of which 4.1 million is from our estates and the balance from out growers.
Our Mission is to ensure production, processing and marketing of quality tea to Kenya and the world with emphasis on environmental conservation, social responsibility, and applying latest technology, value addition to existing products, with a view to achieving maximum returns to our shareholders, while giving utmost care to the interest of our valued tea sourcing partners/customers and conforming to good corporate governance.

Nanditea estates ltd owns one factory for the processing of the nuclear farm green leaf tea and the out growers green leaf
It has a capacity of processing 30 million kilograms of green leaf annually.
About 95% of the processed tea is sold to the international market through auction and private sales, while 5% is consumed locally .
The source of the leaf to be processed is obtained from own farms (50%) and the other (50%) is from small holder farmers from the neighboring villages .The leaf is processed separately and sold in two different marks namely Taito for the estate leaf and Reyna for out grower green leaf.
Both marks are Rain forest alliance certified.
